On April 2nd, LiJinping, a senior professor of the Department of Medicine and Microbiology ofUppsala University, Sweden, came to school for exchange at school. Vice PresidentLu Guohua met with guests and had a discussion.

Lu Guohua welcomed LiJinping and her party, and introduced the situation of school development,students training, scientific research, talent introduction and internationalexchanges. She said that the University of Uppsala has a long history of schoolrunning, prominent educational characteristics, and world-class disciplines. Itis hoped that the two universities will strengthen communication and carry outall-round cooperation.

Li Jinping said that the current high-quality development of the schoolhas ushered in greater opportunities, hoping to further strengthen contact andexchanges.

After the symposium,Li Jinping and her party made academic reports for the teachers and studentsbased on  the Biological Function of Animal Polysaccharides andStudy on the Pathogenesis Alzheimer's Disease , which explained theresearch progress of polysaccharides in the body, the correlation betweenheparan sulfate and  amyloid disease and the pathogenesis of Aβ protein in Alzheimer's disease, and conductedon-site interactive exchanges.

Li Jinping and herparty also visited the School Medical Research and Experimental Center andMedical Experimental Animal Center.

Directors from thePersonnel Department, the Scientific Research Office, and the InternationalCooperation and Exchange Office (the School of International Education)accompanied the discussion.
