The 2018 undergraduate teaching work conference and clinical medicine professional certification work conclusion conference was held in the morning of December 7, at the lecture hall onthe ground floor of the office building. The leaders of WFMU : Guan Yingjun, Zhu Jun, Jing Xixue, Ge Guowen andTian Yanling attended the meeting. The main purpose of this meeting is to comprehensively implement the spirit of the National Education Conference and the New Age Undergraduate Education WorkConference under the guidance of Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinesecharacteristics, and adhere to the fundamental task of cultivating morality andtalents. Basically follow, improving quality and level of talent development byfirmly establishing the central position of undergraduate teaching, regardingthe clinical medical professional certification as an opportunity, improvingquality as the core, summing up experience, analyzing the situation, findingproblems, continuously deepening education reform and innovation, accelerating the construction of high-level undergraduate education. The first stage of the conference was hosted by the President of WFMU, Guan Yingjun. The deputy director from Medical School of the Peking University, the director of the Peking University Medical Education Research Institute, and theExecutive Deputy Director of the National Medical Education Development Center,Professor Wang Weimin was invited to make a report on the medical educationunder the background of Healthy China. Professor Wang Weimin hascomprehensively combed the implementation strategy of medical education in thenew era from the strategic planning of the development of medical education inChina and the strategic perspective of the implementation of healthyChina. Prof. Wang Weimin deeply analyzed the problems existing in medicaleducation, and authenticates the future medical education by combining with theenlightenment brought by the global three-generation medical education reformand analyzing the future development trend of medical education through macro,meso and micro levels. The systematic and forward-looking thinking of the workhas played an important role in promoting the future development of medicalspecialization and the high-quality development of medical education. In the second phase of the conference, the President of WFMU, Guan Yingjun,delivered a report on the teaching work entitled “Cultivating Morality andTalents, Reforming and Innovation to Accelerate the Promotion of High-QualityDevelopment of Undergraduate Education”. Guan Yingjun summarized the development of the teaching work since 2017and the achievements, analyzed the current situation and tasks , and clarifiedthe working ideas and main tasks of the next teaching work stage. GuanYingjun pointed out that since 2017, under the leadership of the University party committee, the majority of teachers andstudents of WFMU have strengthened their political awareness, overallawareness, core awareness, dedication ,determination. We effectively maintainedthe teaching order, and scientifically standardized teaching management, and comprehensive deepened teaching reform. We have achieved new achievements inprofessional construction, teaching reform, teaching management, teachingstaff, teaching research, quality of talent training. In the coming period,WFMU will fully implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of theCommunist Party of China in the new era of Xi Jinping’s socialism with Chinese characteristics, and thoroughly implement the spirit of the National EducationConference and the National Undergraduate Education Work Conference in the NewEra. Return is the basicfollow-up, and we comprehensively implement the fundamental tasks ofcultivating morality and talents, broadening the consensus of teachers andstudents, firmly grasping the correct direction of running; comprehensivelydeepening the reform of education and teaching, continuously improving thequality of talent training. We will focus on promoting innovation in managementsystem and continuously improve quality assurance and strengthen the party'soverall leadership, lead the high-quality development of education, and makenew and great contributions to build high-quality medical universities withdistinctive characteristics and well-known domestication. Vice President of WFMU, Jing Xixue summarized the clinicalmedicine professional certification work. He pointed out that the clinical medicalprofessional certification work is an in-depth examination of the clinicalmedical professional construction and talent training of WFMU, and it is also acomprehensive test of the overall University-running level of WFMU. He comprehensively summarized thecertification work of clinical medicine, and put forward requirements for thenext step of rectification work. The teachers who won the 8th Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award ofShandong Province and therelevant participating units of the new and old kinetic energy conversionprofessional docking industry project of Shandong Province were commended andrewarded. Vice-president of WFMU , Ge Guowen emphasized in the presiding that talent cultivation is thecentral fundamental task of WFMU and it is the eternal theme of universitydevelopment. He hoped that the teaching staff of the whole university will takethis teaching work conference as an opportunity to further emancipate the mind,update the concept, reform and innovate, work hard, and strive to open a newjourney of high-level medical university construction, and strive to create anew high-quality development of undergraduate education. Before the meeting, appointment ceremony was held in the reception room on theground floor of the office building.Guan Yingjun appointed Wang Weimin as development planning consultant for WFMU . The people attended the meeting ,including :Relevant person in charge of eachaffiliated teaching hospital, member of all department-level cadres, educationand quality supervision and evaluation expert committee; Directors from departmentteaching and research section, laboratory, teaching and research office, allprofessors, teacher representative , representatives of the affiliated teaching hospitals; departmental cadres, all counselors, and student representatives.
