Harvest Autumn delivers bright time and welcomes thestudents from all directions, and the fragrance of apricot forest creates abright future. On the morning ofSeptember 9, there was a grand opening ceremony for the 2018 freshmen at thestadium. Li Xinzhang, secretaryof the Party Committee of WFMU, Guan Yingjun, President of WFMU , ZhangWeihua, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of WFMU , Sun Hongwei, Zhu Jun,Jing Xixue, Ge Guowen, Liu Jun, vice president of WFMU , and Tian Yanling,secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee of WFMU, attended theopening ceremony. All 2018-gradedoctoral students, postgraduates, undergraduates, representative of professors,students and parents and military training members, heads of departments , theexecutive directors of the institutions of the Affiliated Hospital Groupattended the ceremony. The openingceremony was hosted by Zhu Jun. At 8 o'clock in the morning, the opening ceremony of the2018 freshmen started in the majestic national anthem. Guan Yingjun delivered a warm speech. On behalf of the teachers and students ,sheexpressed her warm congratulations and welcome to the 3,452 2018 undergraduateand postgraduate students who joined the family of Weifang Medical Univerty. She expressed herheartfelt gratitude to parents’trust and support. Guan Yingjun said that the opening ceremony is a datethat looks forward to the whole summer. The youthful time is wonderful, yetshort-lived. Only those who are self-disciplined to the extreme will have awonderful life. Secretary General, XiJinping said at the May Fourth Youth League Symposium: University is aplace where people are talented、trained andcultivated, and it is the places where young people learn knowledge, grow theirtalents, and realize their dreams . Weifang Medical University will be asax to serve students. We will do ourbest to help students accumulate knowledge, accumulate strength and realizetheir dreams. Standing at a new starting point in life, students need to focus on forgingthe three forces of learning, practicality, and creativity, and use knowledgeto create a shining youth card. The Collaborative Innovation Center of“Organizational Engineering and Rehabilitation” of WFMU has mastered the mostadvanced core technology of cartilage regeneration in China. The center teamincludes Prof. Tang Shengjian , who has50 year’s working experience,and the young “dream catcher” ,1992 Grade Alumnus, prof. Zhou Guangdong. The spirit of “Continuous self-improvement and forward determination” is the inspiring spirit of WFMU , which encourage usto strive for excellence in the dream-seeking journey and achieve breakthroughone by one . New freshmen of WFMU , letus regard the pursuit of excellence as a habit, cultivate innovative thinking,enhance the ability to innovate, and constantly surpass ourselves and surpassthe predecessors. Third, we must be diligent in the dream, persevere forwhole life. Goal and planning is important, and focus andpersistence are more important. In Mayof this year, Prof. Shi Weiyun, a graduate student of 1989-grade in ophthalmology and medicine, won the highestaward of science and technology in Shandong Province,depends on his 30 years ofpersistence and persistence. He became the third alumnus who have won thishonor,after Academician Xie Lixin and Academician Yu Jinming. Freshmen of WFMU,let us on the road to dreams, only ask the beginning of the heart,no materothers, let the youth in the struggle to do the best by myself, and strive to becomea newcomer to the national renaissance. Vice-president, ZhuJun personally presented a beautiful birthday cake to the students. Theteachers and students spent a memorable and meaningful collective birthdaytogether.
