The 2018 International Summit Forum,“Disability and Development: Achieving the UN Sustainable Development 2030Agenda Target for Inclusive Disability”, jointly sponsored by International Classification Family (Cooperation Center of China) from the World Health Organization 、 China ICF Research Institute and Weifang Medical University, was held On October 11that National Convention Center, Beijing ,China. President of WFMU ,Prof. GuanYingjun ,Vice-President of WFMU, Prof. Sun Hongwei, delivered speech respectively ,entitled “Research on the Construction of Modern Rehabilitation Higher Education System”and “Building a Professional Structure Based on ICF Rehabilitation Science andDiscipline Structure”, which was well received by the guests. The articles havebeen published by the Journal of <Chinese Rehabilitation Theory andPractice>. Dr. Marielza Oliveira, Director of the UNESCO BeijingOffice, Dr. Guo Jianxun, Member of the Rehabilitation International ExecutiveCommittee, Dr. Hu Xiangyang, Director of the Rehabilitation Department of theChina Disabled Persons' Federation, Professor Qiu ZhuoYing, Director of the International Classification Family (Cooperation Center ofChina) from the World Health Organization , and Director of the China ICF Research Institute, Professor Wu Xianguang, Consultant of ICF Sub-center of International Classification Family(Cooperation Center of China) from the World Health Organization, Mr.Li Xi,Director of China Disabled Aids Center, Professor Rune J. Simeonsson, WHOICF-CY Working Group Expert and professor of North Carolina University, Prof.lv Jun, Director of the DisabilityResearch Center, Fudan University ,China , Professor Huang Zhaoming, Dean of the Institute of RehabilitationScience on Speech and Hearing, East China Normal University,China and otherwell-known experts and scholars in the field of disability and rehabilitation attended the forum. More than 80 experts and scholars from the United States, Sri Lanka、 Ethiopia and domestic Fudan University, EastChina Normal University, Zhengzhou University, Suzhou University, Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other universities and HongKong, Macao Rehabilitation Research attended the forum. The scholars exchanged and discussed issues,such as the concept and practice of disability and rehabilitation,rehabilitation higher education and research. October 12-13, International Classification Family(Cooperation Center of China) from the World Health Organization, China ICF Research Institute， Weifang Medical University , Speech Hearing Rehabilitation Science Research Institute of East China Normal University , China Intelligenceand Development Disability Grading ，the Key Laboratory on Assessment and Rehabilitation(Sports) and the University of NorthCarolina jointly hosted the International Training Course on International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health in Beijing. More than 30scholars from China and abroad participated in the training. Four teachers from WFMU participated in theinternational training. Eonsson of the University of North Carolina and Dr. GuoJianxun, a member of the Rehabilitation International Executive Committee, wereappointed as Distinguished Professors of WFMU.
